AMANDA RAQUEL ART

Artist. Creator.

Located in Guelph, ON
Amanda Raquel Worr is of mixed filipino artist pursuing the life-long passion for painting and creativity.
This work hopes to present to the viewer the position where spirit exists in all the artifacts which surround us - natural or otherwise - each of which has as much a role in the whole as each human does. My work asserts the enormity and importance of the world outside our human selves, and encourages the audience to understand themselves as a part of a much broader realm of existence, as I seek to uncover it for myself.

Indigenous Territorial Acknowledgment

The land we create on today, and all of Turtle Island, has been under the stewardship of Indigenous peoples, and has been the site of Indigenous creativity, since time immemorial. Amanda Raquel Worr recognizes that the land we work on and are inspired by are ancestral lands of the First Peoples and the treaty lands and territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. We offer respect to the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples of this land – past, present and future. We recognize the significance of the Two Row Wampum Treaty in characterizing our promise of peace and friendship as we journey side by side. I also recognize our responsibility to truth and healing as I strive to build new relationships and a new future. I commit to elevating Indigenous voices through my work. I am grateful and honoured to have the opportunity to gather, celebrate, create, and learn on this land.
